Propellerhead releases Reason 6.5 & Reason Essentials 1.5 and opens Rack Extension store

2012/06/16 in News, Software

Propellerheads has announced the release of Reason 6.5 and Reason Essentials 1.5, and also the opening of the Rack Extension shop.

Reason – a virtual studio rack with all the tools and instruments you need to turn your ideas into music. Walk into any professional recording studio and you will see racks filled to the brim with different tools used in music production from reverb to compressors, vocoders, synths, distortion units, and parametric EQs. The studio’s rack is the heart of its creative factory. Reason is no different. That is why we have outfitted your computer with a virtual rack filled with all the same gear. They look and function exactly like their hardware cousins. Even better, they sound just as good too.

Reason Essentials – The perfect way into music making. Reason Essentials packs in all the recording, editing, effects, instruments, and mixing tools you need to sound great, with room to grow and expand. Reason Essentials comes with a selection of Reason’s instruments and effects in a virtual rack, a streamlined version of its masterfully modeled mixer, and all the recording and sequencing tools you’ll need. For guitar players, the built-in virtual guitar and bass PODs from Line 6 bring a wide range of top quality guitar amps, cabinets, and effects.

In the new Rack Extension shop you can find several new instruments and effects for Reason from 3rd party developers like FXPansion, Softube, Sonic Charge, Audio Damage, Sugar Bytes & Synapse Audio.

More information: propellerheads.se (Reason 6.5 – 405.00 €, Reason Essentials 1.5 – 120.00 €, Reason 6.5 Update – 149.00 €)
